    Classification by bridge type:
  • The crane is bridge single-beam. It is called a "crane-beam" because it consists of an I-beam, at the ends of which are the end beams with attached running wheels. Such cranes are light weight and can move loads up to 10 tons, lifting it to a height of not more than 18 meters, optimally suited for operation in areas with limited space.
  • The bridge crane is two-beam. A structural difference from a single-girder crane is the movement of the hoist on two beams, not one. The trolley may have an auxiliary mechanism instead of one. It can have a load capacity of up to 100 tons and more, the control of the bridge crane is carried out from its cabin, and in some models by remote control.
  • Crane track type classification:
  • The bridge crane is basic. The trolley of the device "walks" on the top part of a beam, leaning wheels on crane rails. Such cranes are more expensive, but the design is more reliable and has a high load capacity and ease of operation.
  • The crane is bridge suspended. I-beams fixed on the floor of the building act as a crane track. The bridge with a crane truck is suspended from their lower shelves, so that the running wheels rest on the inside, this is an economical option, but it is not as reliable as the previous one.
  • The principle of operation of the bridge crane:

Its components are a gearbox, clutch, drum, rope builder, electric motors, hook and control unit. Crane tracks ensure the movement of the crane beam and ensure uniform redistribution of cargo. Control of all mechanisms comes from the cab, and if the bridge crane is manual, then from the remote control, which may be off-site.
